Law agencies do recommend and would prefer that you have assets registered on a 3rd party system so that in the event of any type of natural disaster, fire or theft that you have a record stored of your belongings. 2. Will my information be given out to third parties? A. No the only time your personal information is used is only when you indicate that an item has been stolen and it has been recovered, and you are identified as the owner during the search process.
